Clinics & Services
Doctors can see ante-natal patients and post-natal patients during normal surgery times and share their care with the hospital and a team of midwives.
The GP baby clinic is weekly on Tuesday You can see the Health Visitor between 1.30-3.30pm and 3:00pm - 4:00pm with GP and Practice Nurses. This is for developmental checks and immunisations. BCGs cannot be given at our surgery.
You will be sent an appointment for developmental checks and reminders about immunisations.
We strongly encourage all women between the ages of 25 and 60 to have a cervical smear every three years and 61-65 every five years. Please arrange an appointment with the nurse. If your smear showed an abnormality you will be asked to attend more frequently.
All doctors and nurses are fully qualified to give family planning advice during normal appointment times.
These procedures are performed by the doctor and nurse by arrangement.
Well Person Checks
It is important to have regular check-ups with the nurse to discuss your lifestyle and advise on ways to minimise your health risk factors. This service is free and willingly provided.
